Theres also a difference between cheating when youre in a healthy relationship vs when you arent. A lot of cheaters likely had significant issues prior to cheating and it wasnt the first problem in the relationship. Divorce rates are higher than cheating rates which says something.

Not sure how much stock you want to put in that statistic, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were actually higher (since infidelity is one of those questions people are likely to lie about, even under anonymity). And that would mean it really could be "most people" who cheat. I've had a few candid conversations like this with friends (bar talk), and once the first brave soul admits "yea I've cheated", in come the flurry of others who do the same. I don't think it's something the average person's proud of; maybe the reassurance of its commonality helps assuage them of the guilt, I dunno.

There are also degrees of infidelity, obviously. Actively pursuing and fucking a married person is a much more flagrant example of it than making out with some stranger at a rock concert, which in turn is a more flagrant example than flirting with a stranger without ever touching them - but I'd argue even the last one is a violation of a partner's trust if they're not cool with it.

If you read the full article, the 50% thing isnt a statistic. Its a true false question, and the answer is false with self reporting being at around 20 to 25%.

Whoa I won. I'd like to apologize to the better teams I beat along the way. I got lucky at the end and managed to pick up all the late season workhorses. I think I actually benefitted from having a less good team than I have had in past seasons, because it forced me to stay diligent on the waiver wire. Also, hooray for Nick Foles replacing Wentz and winning both a Super Bowl and Fantasy championship now.

I will say I had a similar thing happen three to four times before that and no one questioned me when I told them I wanted the original case. But I felt like it was happening almost every time I went in that they were swapping the cases on me and I hated having to police them so I just gave up entirely.

Like I said I still buy new games there from time to time and I really like how they have various swag now in addition to just having games like they did when I was a kid. But I don't buy used from them anymore. I actually try to avoid buying used entirely if I can avoid it these days so I don't have to go professional detective on the box beforehand.

I would imagine if you don't care about the cases that Gamestop is still good for used game selling. But there are other secondhand stores here that are much better about making sure people aren't selling them garbage tier boxes or don't ever try to swap cases on you.

Was picking up some games with some Christmas money and I grabbed a copy of Yoshi's Woolly World. Now when I shop at Gamestop I won't buy the game if they don't have the actual boxart/a working case cause at that point I might as well buy new off amazon or get it digitally. Anyway I buy the game along with several others and head out to the car, just to find out that they switched the case for a broken one with no box art. Like wtf? Not only do I feel like it's blatant false advertising, but it's just a shitty way to treat your customer base. Honestly if it wasn't for the fact that I don't like being and asshole/ it probably being an internal policy that the employees have no control over. I would've take it back and demanded a refund. So instead I'm going to come here and bitch about it.

Last time I bought used there they did the exact same thing to me. I saw him doing this as he rung me up so I told them I wanted the box I handed to them and the guy actually questioned why I wanted it. So I told him never mind and just left. Bought it new on eBay for like $5 more.

I havent bought games from them at all since. I still go in from time to time because the one by me actually has a really good selection of random trinkets that I like to browse. But yeah I hate the used game aspect of that store.

I'm seeing several people who know Mattis saying that he was saying even as recently as early this month that he wouldn't leave unless Trump fired him. Definitely possible he changed his mind, but I don't think it's entirely clear that he resigned of his own volition.

It is possible, but in his letter he is basically saying "you are wrong how you are handling NATO you are wrong how you treat our allies you are wrong how you treat Russia you are wrong how you treat China you are wrong about Syria". If he was fired, I think Mattis would be upfront about that considering how critical he was in his letter.

I think part of it is for stuff like this, people arent just really criticizing the product. For lets plays/vlogs/podcast the person IS the product in a lot of ways. So criticism feels more personal, which leads to meeting fan expectations being even more stressful.

Definitely agree with the placement so far! Sonic 2 was better than Sonic 1, but I kinda didn't like Sonic 1 so that isn't great praise.

Next for me would be one of Mario 1/Mario 2/Sonic 3. Maybe DKC3, but I haven't played that game in forever so that one is a bit murky for me. It is the only one up there I don't have strong memories of, at least, so maybe that's a bad thing.

Its just too bad the rest of Sonic 1 isnt even remotely as fun as Green Hill. I played this game as a kid, but I never owned it and therefore never really got through more than the first few zones. I was more accustomed to Sonic 2 and 3, so that made Sonic 1 particularly jarring to play 20 years later. The game is janky, cheap, and punishes speed--the very element that makes Green Hill so amazing. The lack of a spin-dash is really a massive deterrent to enjoying the experience, since any time you get hit (often by cheap offscreen enemies) you have to s.l.o.w.l.y. regain momentum to get things going again--until you smash into the next enemy.

And it is like whoever made the first zone was different from the team that made the rest. Like you said, Green Hill is awesome and it is designed with speed in mind. There others are just these generic reject levels from bad games where so much time is spent waiting around.

My game didn't have a strongman but scum still killed him night 1. And my game had a watcher, but it wasn't used on Chris. So I don't think this will fix Chris' problem like he thinks it would. Town is too afraid to look dumb to protect him unless he is mortally confirmed so he is very frequently left open.

It also absolutely does not need to be banned. It is overused for sure and has become a crutch, but it is silly to ban a role like that because there are plenty of ways to balance around it. I also don't like hosts in general going "this role won't be in my game".

Obviously this is not exactly the same thing as affirming what previous courts have decided, but it is a tentatively optimistic step in the right direction. I still think Roberts himself is enough to stop these things since I do not think he wants that big of a decision being overturned, but I still think this ruling makes me cautiously, tentatively optimistic.
